Fitra ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Fitra mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App, available on Apple's App Store for iOS devices.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.
Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways when you use the App:
Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication credentials. Account creation and authentication is managed through Supabase.
- Workout Data: Exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, rest timers, workout duration, and any workout templates you create and save.
- Subscription Information: If you subscribe to Fitra Plus, Apple handles all payment processing through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple.
- AI Prompts (Fitra Plus): Natural language workout queries you submit to our AI workout generator (e.g., "Quick 20 min chest day"), limited to 10 generations per day. These prompts are processed in real time to generate your workout and are not stored in any database. However, prompts may appear temporarily in our application server logs for debugging and error-monitoring purposes. See the "AI-Powered Features" section below for details.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers necessary for app functionality and sync.
- Usage Data: App interaction data such as features used, session duration, and crash reports to help us improve the App.
- Local Storage: The App stores workout data locally on your device in a SQLite database to ensure the App functions offline and provides fast access to your data.
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect precise geolocation data.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
- We do not collect health data from Apple HealthKit or any other health framework.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide Core App Functionality: To enable workout tracking, template saving, set/rep/rest timer logging, and progress visualization.
- Cloud Sync: To synchronize your workout data between your device's local SQLite database and our cloud database hosted on Supabase, so your data is backed up and accessible.
- AI Workout Generation (Fitra Plus): To process your natural language prompts and return structured, personalized workout plans.
- Progress Tracking (Fitra Plus): To generate charts and analytics from your workout history so you can visualize your fitness progress.
- Improve the App: To diagnose technical issues, analyze usage patterns in aggregate, and develop new features.
- Manage Your Account: To authenticate your identity, manage your subscription status, and communicate with you about your account.
AI-Powered Features
Fitra Plus subscribers have access to an AI-powered workout generator. Here is how it works and how your data is handled:
- How It Works: When you enter a natural language prompt (e.g., "Usual arm day with more tricep focus"), your query is sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which processes your request and returns a structured workout plan using Claude's Structured Outputs.
- Prompt Storage: Your AI prompts are not persistently stored in any database by Fitra. Prompts are transmitted to generate a response and are then discarded by our application.
- Server Logs: Prompts may be temporarily visible in our server logs for the purpose of debugging and monitoring errors. These logs are periodically purged and are not used for any other purpose.
- Third-Party AI Processing: Prompts are sent to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model) for processing. Anthropic's use of data is governed by their own privacy policy and API terms of service. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. - No Profiling: We do not use your AI prompts to build user profiles, serve advertisements, or for any purpose other than generating the requested workout.
Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
Your workout data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. This data remains on your device and is accessible even without an internet connection. If you delete the App, locally stored data will be removed from your device.
Cloud Storage
Your data is also synced to our cloud database hosted on Supabase. Supabase provides secure, encrypted database hosting. Data transmitted between the App and our cloud services is encrypted in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security). Data stored on Supabase is encrypted at rest.
Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
- Encryption of data at rest on our cloud infrastructure
- Secure authentication via Supabase Auth
- Regular security reviews and updates
While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Data Retention
- Workout Data: Retained in your local SQLite database and on our cloud servers for as long as you maintain an account. You may delete individual workouts or templates at any time within the App.
- Account Information: Retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your account data from our cloud database within 30 days.
- AI Prompts: Not stored in any database. Temporary server log entries containing prompts are purged on a rolling basis and are not retained for more than 90 days.
- Usage Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may update or correct your account information through the App settings.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email address below. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our cloud database within 30 days. Local data is deleted when you uninstall the App.
- Data Portability: You may request an export of your workout data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw Consent: You may stop using the App at any time. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
- Opt Out of AI Features: AI workout generation is only available to Fitra Plus subscribers. If you do not wish your prompts to be processed, you may use the free tier, which does not include AI features.
Subscription and In-App Purchases
Fitra is free to download and use. The free plan includes full workout tracking, set/rep logging, rest timers, and template saving.
Fitra Plus is an optional subscription available for $6.99/month that unlocks AI-powered workout generation and progress tracking with charts and analytics.
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and managed entirely by Apple.
- Payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our cloud infrastructure providers (Supabase) and AI service providers (Anthropic) operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- The right to request deletion of your personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
